Exciting new times

Howdy. It's seemed like forever since I've posted a new blog. And many-a-thing has been rocking my boat since last time.

Jury Service was excellent. It was exciting to sit inside a real jury box and listen to evidence. It was scary to think that our 12 decisions could affect someones life overall. I got onto 2 cases. I was very lucky to see two extremely different type of case. One was for sexual abuse between a father and his daughter(very distressing) and another was GBH. In all, I felt I learnt something new in all of them and taught myself to expand my decision making and to be more assertive.
Funnily enough, the first day I was bricking myself with fear that I would not know anyone and know what to do. Everyone was friendly and we all got £5.50 dinner card a day for hot meals and drinks. About half an hour into the first day. I spotted someone. She looked really familiar. It was only my old best friend/next door neighbour. I was sooo happy. We hadnt seen each other in a long time and she didnt recognise me at first. But in all, those 2 weeks (off work tehehe) and learning to be a juror was one of the most exciting things i've ever done and i'm glad I got the chance to go through with it.

Furthermore, I've been working alot of my shorthand. But I need to keep pushing myself. It's like another language and i'm getting really frustrated with it because I feel like I'm not getting anywhere with it. But keep going emma. you'll get there :)

Plus. I went to see Josh last weekend. It was lovely just to chill out and my mom and nick went to prague for a few days so I was responsible for the woggies. Getting up at 7am every morning to walk the little critters was not the highlight of my week off. But exciting.

Been a restless couple of days, struggling with somethings, but im a strong believer that there is a light at the end of every tunnel. :)

Last two days of work before I get 2 weeks off.
or so i hope.
JURY SERVICE is about to take over my world and life for the next 14 days.
i hope it goes ahead and i get selected.

And so it begins. A new year full of drinking, friendly festivities, and many good nights out. So far, it's all been a giant success of pure freedom, apart from work. Tonight was funny as shit. Took alot of pictures of me and my crazy friends generally being what we are. Teenagers who swear and dye our hair different colours more times than you change yer pants. but i wouldnt change a bloody thing. I took some incredibly funny images tonight. My best friend purnellio (who i dont get to see often enough, came to sit next to me and we had a good old chat). I put on her heart muffs. (yeah, alright?) The string of photographs begun. Then sophie wanted to try on beckys muffs. SHe did. HER FAT HEAD BROKE THEM. poor becky. here are the pictures. goodnight. x

A new year. A new start. A new blog! OHAAAALAA! im alive. only just.

christmas and new year has just whipped by. so fast, i may actually have whiplash..

ive just uploaded some pictures from the Lake District. Back in the summer of 09, me, josh and his family hit the beautiful village to relax, chill and do a varied amount of mountain walks. This picture I spontaneously took as I thought it was at first, a dog. how wrong could i be?

it was a miniture pony. possibly a shetland but even smaller. crikey.

I have started back at work today and Im shattered already. Need to search for a new lense for my canon camera and buy a tripod and some lights. got a million weddings to focus on this year.
